FAQs

How do I inflate my iSUP?

Make sure the switch lever on the pump is in the double action mode. This means it will move air while pulling up and pushing down allowing for quicker inflation of your isup.
Place the H3 or Halkey - Roberts isup valve into the inflate position, the valve spring will be in the up position not down.
Put the hose of the pump to the valve, turn clockwise a quarter turn, you will feel it lock into place and then begin to pump.
At 5-8 psi switch the hand pump to single action. Simply switch the lever on the isup hand pump and single action will be achieved. Then complete inflation to a minimum of 12 psi. The Paradise team recommends a minimum of 12 psi and a max of 15 psi, depending on the particular rider.
NOTE: The hand pump gauge will not register the air pressure until the board reaches 5 to 8 psi.

How long does it take to inflate?

Inflation with the hand pump can take between 5 and 8 minutes, we recommend taking your time and always consider our 12v electric pumps, they make inflating your board so simple.

What psi do you recommend?

We recommend a minimum of 12 psi and a max of 15 psi for your iSUP. Depending on the particular rider and the conditions. We recommend testing out your board at varying psi to find the right fit for you. Obviously the more psi the more stable the board and less drag on the water.

Can I use an electric pump?

Absolutely, there are many electric pumps available on the market. Make sure the electric pump comes with an isup adapter valve. We recommend our 12v electric pumps available on our site, they work great and are a game changer!

How much does the board weigh and weight capacity of boards?
The boards itself weighs 21lbs and can hold up to 400 pounds.

What type of valve does the Paradise Nomad iSUP board have?

All Paradise iSUPs use the industry leading HalkeyRoberts or H3 iSUP valves. The H3 valves are extra durable and use patented inflation technology designed specifically for inflatable stand up paddle boards.

My iSUP hand pump gauge isn’t registering the air pressure, what do I do?

Due to the high pressure of the boards, the hand pump gauge sometimes will not register your psi until the board reaches 5 to 8 psi. This is particularly true if the pump is brand new. Continue to pump and after a few minutes it will begin to show your air pressure.

How long should I leave my iSUP inflated?

If your inflatable paddle board is stored inside, out of direct sunlight and away from extreme temperature changes, the board can be left inflated indefinitely. Although to preserve the lifespan of your isup it is recommended deflating periodically.

How should I store my board?

Remove the center fin. Deflate your iSUP by pressing the valve pin to the down position and give it a quarter turn to the left. It will then lock in this position. Air will naturally leave the board when the valve is in deflate. Roll the board up from the nose to the tail. Once all the air has been removed place the valve in the closed position, sticking up. This will prevent air from being sucked back into the board. Secure your board with the belt that comes in the iSUP package. The EVA pad should be on the inside and the fins on the outside. This preserves life of the deck pad. Boards should be stored dry. After use, especially in salt water, rinse board and paddle with fresh water and dry.

How do I install the center fin?

We went with the simple and quick lock snap in center fin. Simply take your center fin put the groves inside the fin Box square push the fin down flush with the fin box and snap lock the clip in the down position. Now get out and have some fun!

How are iSUPs for yoga?

Paradise Board iSUP boards are amazing for yoga, the 11 foot by 32 inch by 6 inche thick construction make an extremely stable platform for SUP yoga. Our extended length EVA pad makes your experience comfortable and fun!

Is it possible to overinflate my board?

Using the included hand pump, it would be very difficult to overinflate your paddle board.  It is extremely unlikely that you will be able to add enough pressure to cause a rupture but if by chance you put too much air, just release some by pushing the spring pin down.

I hear air or see bubbles from around the valve. What should I do?

Over time and frequent use, it is possible that the inflation valve can become slightly loosened. Not to worry–a simple tightening is all that is necessary. Using the valve wrench, gently tighten the valve by turning a quarter or half turn clockwise. You may need to turn the valve depending on how loose it is, but it should not take excessive force to do so.

How long does it take to receive my board?

Here at Paradise Board Company we take pride in making sure your board will be prepared and shipped out within 2-3 business days. Sometimes the shipping carrier has a slight delay in their system; if you received a confirmation of purchase, your order is processing and you will receive tracking information as soon as it is provided by the carrier. Depending on your location, you will receive your board within 2- 10 business days.

Do I need a life jacket?

Yes! Safety is our top priority here at PBC, we always recommend wearing or at the very least bringing a life jacket and storing it under the bungee. We want you to be prepared for anything that comes up on the water. It is essential that you familiarize yourself with the local rules and regulations of your area prior to going out. In the United States, the US Coast Guard considers paddle boards as a watercraft and thus requires that safety gear such as life jacket and signaling devices be carried while on the water. Be sure to wear your leash in fast moving and/or rough waters.
